Re: letlive
I wouldn't mind going to see them live over here at all.
Live shows are their strength, which is saying a lot.

Re: letlive
Downloaded Fake History yesterday, and this band is my new obsession. A friend tipped me off and said they're a mixture of Glassjaw and Refused so obviously it piqued my interest. Too good.

Re: letlive
I can't for the life of me remember how I stumbled across this band? Tons of GJ-ism's with the vocals (and the dude tries to look like Daryl by the looks of it!) but still pretty impressive.
All in all, i'm fuckin digging this album... it's a bit of a guilty pleasure and nothing new IMO but nonetheless, I is liking.
Usually I would upload the album but since I'm in Thailand now, the internet is beyond shitcunt and it's pretty much impossible to sendspace the album.

Biography
The band, consisting of Jason Aalon Butler (vocals), Jean Nascimento (guitar), Ryan Jay Johnson (bass), Jeff Sahyoun (guitar), Anthony Rivera (drums) formed out of the ashes of Westchester hardcore band Fubar in 1999. In 2004, under At One Records, they released their first album, Exhaustion, Salt Water, and Everything in Between. Some time after the albums release the band underwent a change in line up, with only vocalist front man Jason Aalon Butler remaining today from the bands original lineup.
Letlive's music continued to grab attention however. 2005 saw the release of Speak Like You Talk released on At One Records. The album helped solidify the bands sound, now firmly a part of the Los Angeles hardcore scene. As the group gained momentum both locally and abroad, they eventually garnered the attention of North Carolina record label Tragic Hero, signing with them in November 2009. The group also took on Brandan Schieppati as their manager, of Bleeding Through fame. Now with the firm backing they needed, Letlive toured internationally, across the United States and Canada. Upon their return, they released their third album Fake History in April 2010.

Wow! I searched but did not be finding anything? What the... oh... wait, I think I searched letlive WITH spaces! Gaaarrrhhhh!
Glad I'm not alone with this one!

Re: letlive
The more and more I hear this album, makes me want to fly home and start a band again. FUCK!

Re: letlive
His singing is more like Secret Lives Of The Freemasons. Also hearing a lot of Envy On The Coast in the poppy bits. All of these of course are Daryl's influence on music and it's incredible.

Re: letlive
Absolutely in love with this band. can't wait to see them support YD over here next year.

Re: letlive
I... just don't see it.
It doesn't help that I can't stand the frontman.

BURN THE WITCH!

Re: letlive
I'm sorry. I know guys are really riding for these kids, but it's just... This guy's posturing and posing for the camera makes it difficult. I'm really easily disinterested if I don't like the presence of the performance.

Amen! I really don't see it, this is not much different from the other typical Rise Records band. I mean, if ya like that stuff, more power to ya, but to me it is just mehhh.

I never sleep 'cause sleep is the cousin of death.
Re: letlive
Max, I know what you mean. I saw the Casino Colombus video, and his "posturing and posing" is definitely, I don't know, off-putting now. I still like the songs and all, but I can assure you there was a time when he was the opposite of a pussy, right around the second album, and he had such a wild (literally wild, animalistic, lethal) live presence that he had a reputation. He really had personality, and I know you know what that means. Now I feel like they've toned it down, even if their music is technically "heavier." He used to be hope, for real, but now he's just a part of good band, at least in my opinion. You don't have to like them.
